Michaelmas falls on September 29th each year, arriving just after the autumn equinox. The festival honors the archangel Michael, who represents truth, love, righteousness, goodness and courage. The story told by our school's Michaelmas pageant is just one of the many variations of Michael. Each class has a role that they inherit throughout the grades- a beloved rite of passage for Waldorf students- and the community comes together for a traditional feast of soup and bread. This year, SoJER (Social Justice, Equity and Responsibility Committee) is encouraging families to bring a soup that is a family recipe or significant to their family heritage. Our festival will be held on Friday, September 30th at 11:30 am.
